Then again.. the government here in the states thinks it needs to shield the public rather than inform. Wrongly I should add to remove doubt of my opinion.

As everyone knows, I am one of those crazies who trusts the US government, and especially its current leadership, not at all. I usually assume they're idiots, liars, manipulative bastards, or some combination of all three. And I no longer apologize for feeling this way, since anyone who looks at should see that the bulk of empirical evidence is on my side.

And I still think too many of you trust the government far too much.

That said, I believe bin Laden is dead. Partly because I don't believe Obamoids and company are smart enough to pull off this kind of lie. (I'm an anarchist, but I am *not* a believer in conspiracy theories; the economic cost of conspiracy makes it far too expensive relative to any benefit that would accrue.) Partly because its not the kind of thing that would have legs if it were made up. And partly because the real bad guys in the story, Osama's fellow terrorists and scumbags in Al-Qaida have admitted he's dead.

So, Dante fans out there, which circle of Hell would you put Osama in?
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I'm glad we did the proper burial thing or whatever for Osama/Usama bin Laden's body. I think that was the right thing to do.

As for displaying pictures of his dead corpse, I'm not sure how I feel about that. I adamantly against Dale Earnhardt's picture being displayed publicly, however, that was because I didn't want to remember him in that condition. Which brings me to my next point, what condition do we as American's want to view bin Laden in? I'm thinking most would rather the last image they see of him be that of his dead corpse.

If we end up providing the picture publicly, I'm just not sure how I'd feel about it. I want to see it, yes, but I just don't know how others will perceive it. I think it could be displayed publicly and tactfully if given the proper thought and I think that's what should be done.

Perhaps put it to a vote by those who lost sons, daughters, wives, husbands to the tragedy of 9/11? I really don't know the right answer.

I can't stand Dante. I tried reading that crap, but my head was about to explode and stopped.

Other than that, I agree with you pretty much 100%. I'm not a conspiracy theorist as I think the government is too stupid/incompetent to pull off much. Yes, we landed on the moon (it's quite easy IF you're willing to put up enough money). Yes, Osama bin Laden was killed. It's just too bad the shots were clean and he didn't die in pain.

But that still doesn't mean I don't think Obama and the current regime, Congress, the Senate, and the Supreme Court are mostly made up of liars, manipulative bastards, and idiots (taking your words as they fit perfectly well).

Agreed... but here is the rub.

We the people continue to elect and allow these rubes to run this country and us the working class into the ground.

So define idiot again.. and effectively label which group (politicians or the voting public) it should be applied to.

After reading all 4 pages I want to make a few comments. 1ST one is actually a question. Does this mean we can finally bring all the troops home from Afghanistan seeing the reason for being there was to find Bin Laden?

The next thing is what would be so bad about showing pictures or even a video of him? Show him being put in the coffin and then the full 40 minutes of the final burial. Hell there was video of Sadam's hanging all over the place and we didn't have anything happen then. Also isn't kind of funny that this happened 5 years after Bush's famous speech?

I personally think it's all BS and a last ditch effort for Obama to win votes. I saw someone ask who will be the next big terrorist and I don't think you have to look any farther than this country's president. Since he has become president how many places have we sent troops or had a conflict with? We end Iraq and then we have to move those soldiers to Afghanistan and hey lets pick a fight with North Korea oh and wow The US Sixth Fleet has begun repositioning its ships in the Mediterranean, triggering speculation of a NATO invasion of Libya.

Can't we stop trying to play bully and worry about our own country that is falling to pieces.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

No.
Finding OBL was the first and highest objective but it was not the only one.
They are also there to fight the Taliban and other radical Muslim insurgent groups.
They are also there to aid and train both the Afghan military and civilian police force.
Then there is the more humanitarian aid they offer in the terms of medical, educational, building of the local infrastructure and other types of aid.

I didn't mean to sound like I was against the guys over there, but I would love to know why we have to do this, we seem to be the only country that runs from country to country to train people how to fight, which in turn will bite us in the ass when they attack our country and have our weapons and know our tactics.

As our country is ready to file bankruptcy we still spend tons of money on other countries and get nothing back for it. What did we get back from Iraq after building them back up? They have tons of oil and yet we can't get it from them.

This conspiracy crap is getting a little out of hand. I have someone on my facebook who linked articles for the first few days saying OBL has been dead for 7 years, etc., and then today he linked in article demanding an explanation for why he was shot in the head instead of captured, when he wasn't armed.

I suggested he should make up his damn mind.
