Another senior US official said that no intelligence had been shared with any country, including Pakistan, ahead of the raid.

"Only a very small group of people inside our own government knew of this operation in advance," the official said.

So in other words, this hasn't been vetted by any outside source and we have only the word of our government to go on.

Reassuring.

I THINK i know where he's going. Could it be his overall distrust of the government?
(In many ways, if that's it, i can understand his distrust)
I myself want to see at least photos of his dead body. Just to make sure he's really dead.
I can understand why they had to keep it quiet. There are "bad guys" everywhere. And he could have been tipped off at any moment.

It's IS funny, but not very "realistic".
I'm glad he got rid of Osama. He was due to get what he deserved.

The thing that bothers me is, why should America give a DAMN on whether Osama's "religious" beliefs are followed or not? Yes, he SAYS he is "Muslim". But did HE follow his own religion's beliefs? Is murdering a big part of the Muslim religion?
I have never read their "bible" (The Koran) so i don't know alot about what it preaches.
But me? I don't care if they defile his body. What he has done to not only us, but other countries, he deserves NO rights.

I agree with you in principle, Cheesey. But I don't see a strategic or ideological reason for defiling his body, so why do it? This makes us look badass (raid and headshot with no wounded Americans) and honorable ("we buried this piece of shit appropriately, because we're decent human beings"). We did the world a favor and we did it like the gentlemen that we are.

And you know he should use that picture for a campaign poster.

I want to watch the same video Obama got to Live, over and over and over again - Like a Lawrence Taylor tackle on Joe Theisenman.

But that's just me. I'm also for looking the other way should India want to settle the score with Pakistan.

You can bet he will, Mass! And he'd be stupid NOT too! This may get Obama reelected.
Heck, the reaction of Bush after the attacks got him reelected, didn't it?

I'm not saying we should purposely defile his body, what i mean is, we shouldn't give him any more respect then we would any other mass murderer.
How about we give him the same level of respect as he did the people that were in the twin towers? Would that be fair?
Now......i agree 100% in what you said in your post. We SHOULD take the "high ground". I'm just PISSED OFF at that P.O.S. for all the pain he caused the world.

I think Obama only is re-elected once more if he's again the lesser of the two evils.

If the U.S. disgraced bin Laden's religion by disallowing proper burial, can you imagine how American's would be viewed? I mean, it's already not exactly hip hip hooray for the USA! As it is...

I believe the U.S. did the right thing in taking the high road as it'll show the kind of Country we truly are, rather than the negativity that seems to be attached to us.

I know....and you are all right. We should take the higher ground.

But does anyone believe how we treat his corpse will make ANY difference in how those people view us? They hate us, want us ALL dead, period.
NOTHING we do will change that.
But yes, we should do the right thing, no matter what.

Cheesey,
It has nothing to do with bi Laden and HIS religion and EVERYTHING to do with Real Muslims. We are being gracious to them. Letting them know that even to this guy was a POS we respect THEIR beliefs and took care of the scumbag the way they would want it done.

Zero2Cool (16m) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (14h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (14h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
