Not counting the people of PackersHome, which ten living people, alone or together, would you most like to spend an evening of uninhibited conversation with?

Here's my list, in no particular order:

1. Tuomas Holopainen.
2. Jessica Biel
3. Charles Woodson.
4. Ricky Williams.
5. Ray Kurzweil.
6. Richard Branson.
7. Anthony Hopkins.
8. L E Modesitt, Jr.
9. C. J. Cherryh.
10. Queen Elizabeth II.

Nine of which are, of course, subject to change after you remind me of someone I forgot. The one which I expect you can guess: it isn't obsession unless the object of obsession makes every top ten list, after all.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Funny. 1-3 and #5 would be pretty high on my list. Ralph Nader and Ron Paul would be on my list. Brett Favre of course. Now add to that Aaron Rodgers and Ted Thompson. Funny thing though of all the Packers, I think Woodson would be the one I could talk to the longest and not get bored.

Rock stars - Nikki Sixx, Rob Halford or anyone from Judas Priest really. Bruce Dickinson. David Lee Roth (an avid reader - reads a book a day). Dani Filth. Lemmy Kilmister.

I'd want to add Kate Winslet and Johnny Depp as my actors. Alfonso Cuaron as my director. My writers are mostly dead. Linus Torvaldis, but it wouldn't be about computers. Last thing I'd want to talk with him about would be computers.

Whoops, that's 15 from my list and 4 from yours. I'd have to drop 4.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to formulate a list of ten people to converse with when you don't much care for talking to people in general?

I'll start off with a shocker.

1. Barry Sanders
2. Will Smith
3. Marshall Mathers III
4. James Herbert Keenan
5. Mark Zuckerberg
6. Christopher Nolan
7. Brian May
8. Brett Favre
9. Jewel Kilcher
10. Kevin Williamson

Of that ten, there are five that I really want to, and the other five are more to fill the list. This was kind of fun. I know if I thought more about it, I'd come up with ten better.

6) Aaron Rodgers
7) Steve Carell
8 ) Joel McHale
9) Stephen Colbert
10) Tim Masthay

Will Smith is a good pick. It's tough considering all the different fascinating people out there. I know Zombie said most of his writers are dead but I don't see why we can't extend this list out to dead people. I'm also sure that my list will change once more people come to mind. Anyways, here's my list in no specific order:

1. Will Smith (good pick Z)
2. Matt Groening (creator of The Simpsons, Futurama and that one comic I can't remember the name of, "Life From Hell" maybe?)
3. Bob Marley (Deceased unfortunately)
4. Danny Elfman
5. Jun Seba (Japanese hip-hop producer. Deceased unfortunately)
6. Nobuo Uematsu (Japanese composer, specifically the Final Fantasy games)
7. Louis CK
8. Weird Al
9. Brian Jacques (Writer of the Redwall books. Love these books to death. Deceased unfortunately)
10. Brett Favre

Louis CK is hilarious. Would love to have him on my list. Danny Elfman's a weirdo. Would love to have him on my list as well.

No, can't have dead people. Maybe an entirely different topic of dead people? I bet it will be predictable. Jesus, a founding father, a painter, a philosopher, a writer, someone's great grandparent they never knew, etc.

Well besides Bob Marley the other two dead people on my list are quite recent. Seba died a year or two ago in a highway accident (he was in his 30's). Jacques died of a heart attack just two months ago.

You'd have to take that up with Wade.

Wade - can we have dead people?

Hey, as often as I go off topic, I sure have no standing to complain if someone else does. :)

How about we limit it to people who have died in our lifetimes?

That way we can add Vince Lombardi. 🙂

And I'd rather talk to Bart Starr than Brett Favre.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
