The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. has received a donation of rare recordings from the Don Hutson Radio Program.
Donated by Hutson's nephew, Steve Hutson, the recordings will be added to the Packers Hall of Fame Inc. archives.
Hutson, who played for the Packers from 1935 to 1945, hosted a radio program in the late 1940s. The rare recordings include Hutson's commentary of Packers football in 1949.
Packers Hall of Fame Inc. archivist Tom Murphy and Steve Hutson will talk about the radio recordings in a press conference today at 10 a.m.
The Hall of Fame will use these recordings to help launch their digital archive of Packers history, as part of a new online initiative, said Rich Fercy.
