The record for consecutive games is more noteworthy anyway. It's amazing that Unitas set the record in the era before the West Coast Offense, when teams usually ran the ball when they got close to the goal line, rather than throwing short passes into the end zone.

I agree that Unitas' record is the more noteworthy, particularly considering its longevity has taken on DiMaggioesque proportions. Given that the man who came closest to Unitas' record (Brett Favre) never seriously challenged it, I would guess that it is a record that will never be broken.

I am intrigued that both dhazer and wpr say Super Bowl III was the first to be numbered with a Roman numeral, while the sources I found said Super Bowl V. I wonder if we could find a definitive source.
