If you get the chance, stay for the night lighting of the monument. That is really something to see when they crank on 6 bazillion watts of lights and it hits those faces.
At Keystone you can ride a tramway up to a lookout place and see a side view of the faces, but watch out for the plastic deer and squirrels. Tacky, but fun. Hit Wall Drug in Wall SD, and listen for the talking billboards, and take into account the magnificent trees that embrace the landscape.....AKA telephone poles. LOL!
