It's interesting, when I come to think of it, that I don't think I have ever had a relationship with someone who had a tattoo.

When I was younger, I did used to chase the tattooed/pierced types, thinking they would be more unconventional or interesting. It didn't take me long to figure out that most of them are surprisingly boring people, not to mention lousy in bed.

I eventually came to the conclusion that most people who feel the compulsion to alter their bodies in such a fashion are attempting to compensate for their lack of personality.

Four comments:
1. Most people in general are likely boring.
2. Tattoos are like any art -- often tacky, often blah, occasionally magnificent.
3. Megan Fox.
4. Alyssa Milano.

Ah, yes, Wade, but have you ever interacted with these fine specimens in private, when they are not surrounded by cameras and PR flacks? ;)

As for you, Pete, pics or GTFO.

Well, I would. But neither you nor zombieslayer have introduced me yet.

After all, it's an open empirical question that needs data collection. 🙂

You clearly ignored the context of what I was saying. "Compulsion" is a pretty strong word. Not everyone who engages in body modification feels "compelled" to do so. But for many, this sort of flamboyance certainly can be a symptom of the lack of personality I have observed.

Argh. You're right. I did miss the context. Fuck you for making me admit that.

*sigh*

Admitting I'm wrong. I must be getting older.

Heh, after all, I did point out above that I don't understand why people make such sweeping assumptions about women just because they have a "tramp stamp." I just personally have never had a relationship with a woman who had one. That doesn't mean I wouldn't if the opportunity presented itself.

Gah, time to take my contacts out. They are fogged to hell.
