I think I'd value the ring more than the White House visit.
Wouldn't it be cool if, instead of the usual "lets see how many million diamonds we can put on one ring, the Packers did something really understated with their rings. Say a solid platinum band with a single huge high quality, deep green emerald finished smooth, and a simple etched inlay in the center of the emerald of a G and XLV.
Something that says, this is the Packers, we epitomize cool and the real wealth of the NFL, not hype and ostentsation. We don't have to parade how good we are. Because we just are.
I mean, look at the Lombardi trophy -- it's the coolest trophy in sport, and it is just basic lines and curves.
It'll never happen, of course. Their eventual ring will be ostentatious and tacky like all the rest. Bling bling.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
