Packers Super Bowl rings on hold for now

This sucks (especially the White House trip)...

The Green Bay Packers will have to wait for some of the usual spoils that come with a Super Bowl title.

Bill Pennington of the New York Times notes that the Packers havent ordered their Super Bowl rings yet. The team wants input from the players, and cant speak with them until the lockout is over. Teams usually have a some sort of ring ceremony during the offseason as well, which will also be put off if there is no agreement.

The Packers trip to the White House has also been delayed indefinitely.

(The Steelers arent going either. James Harrison was right!)

He never said it affected him in any way personally. He said it sucks. Maybe he meant that it sucks for the players and staff who are looking forward to receiving those rings but will have to wait for them indefinitely.

I am DEFINITELY looking forward to that trip...so, yes, it DOES affect me personally... :bounce:
