I see a lot of talk about AP getting his yards. How about going back to the point of Capers D letting RBs pile yards but not scores. Then have the best passing D in the league to stall drives.
I don't care if AP helps the Vikings win when he gets yards, if he can't do it against the Packers.
The Packers won both their games without locking down AP. He may have gotten fewer attempts, because they were in catch up mode the whole game in MN. He had a 4.7 per for 131 yards in game 1 at Lambeau and a 5.1 per for 72 yards in game 2 in the Dome.
It doesn't matter what the traditional formula for the rest of the NFL is. It matters how the Packers win. Shut down the Pass, let the RB get yards but limit his big plays.
The new formula for success. Ground breaking and innovative. Just like I would expect from Capers.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
