At least they got to play and contribute in the actual game. I think it'd be far worse to be on I.R., or even if you were Erik Walden (admittedly he's a mid-season pick-up, but he started the last few weeks and then missed the big one. Driver and Woodson can at least say they played in the big game.

Aye, great point. That's probably a better example. Brandon Underwood was also active for a fair chunk of the season (and playoffs) and missed the cut come Superbowl sunday.

Not at all. Both made contributions in the Super Bowl and they were obviously a huge help during the regular season and the path in the playoffs.

To go even further, Woodson broke his collar bone with a great defensive play on Mike Wallace. That was possibly a touchdown-saving play.

Driver had 2 catches for 28 yards. No touchdowns, but was able to continue Packers offensive drives down the field.

They were both on the field while the team accumulated a 21-3 lead, and an argument could probably be made that their absence was part of the resaon for the Steeler comeback (validating their worth to the team) so although I see the point and might feel a little strange myself, ultimately they'll be happy with the win and the significant contributions they made on Sunday.
