Well, the only song even distantly good was Where is the Love, which Fergie ruined with her over-singing.

Don't even get me started on Fergie butchering Sweet Child O'Mine.

The rest of the songs are the kind that if they play on the radio, the station is switched in less than 5 seconds.

So yeah, F sounds about right.

While it was certainly a visual spectacle, there wasn't a speck of originality in that show. It was blatantly ripped off from such movies as Tron: Legacy and Step-Up 3-D, while the box-head dancers were stolen from Daft Punk.

I would have graded almost any halftime show poorly, however. I traveled to Groningen for football, not for flashy lights, fireworks, and music. Given how taut the game had been and how stressed out I was over it, every second that halftime show lingered was one more second keeping me from football. I fidgeted like crazy and didn't pay much attention. It was too loud in the bar to hear much anyway.

At least during years my team is in the Super Bowl, I wish they'd limit the halftime show to the normal 12 minutes. 😉

The best halftime show I ever saw was right here in Missoula at a Griz football game about 6 years ago. Jeff Ament (bass guitarist for Pearl Jam) is from Missoula and brought the group in to do a halftime show for free. And it was good. Nothing hokey or fake about it. Just good old music and the crowd was rockin'.

Now come on guys, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band is easily the best half time performer of all time. I'd actually give that one an A. Prince was good a few years back too.
