James Starks rushing toward another prize
 Super Bowl champion will receive key to Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS Niagara Falls High School graduate turned Super Bowl champion James Starks is in line for a key to the city.

When he gets it will be up to him and his family.

Mayor Paul Dyster told city council members on Monday the city is planning to host some sort of celebration in honor of Starks and his Super Bowl victory as a member of the Green Bay Packers, who defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Sundays big game.

I think this is a fantastic opportunity for the city of Niagara Falls, not just because of James tremendous success on the playing field, but because of the tremendous success hes had in dealing with the pressures of this moment, Dyster said. There are many of us in the community who knew him at a time when he was growing up and know members of his family. Again, you couldnt ask for a better role model. He dealt with this instant fame and celebrity about as well as you could ask a young person to do.

Starks rushed for 52 yards on 11 carries in helping the Packers defeat the Steelers, 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV in Dallas.

Dyster said his administration is planning to present Starks with a key to the city in honor of his accomplishments. He said the exact date of the celebration has not yet been set and will be scheduled as is convenient for Starks and his family.

Its a little premature for that, Dyster said. Were trying to be certain that we respect James wishes and the wishes of the family. As they get back into town from Texas, well be in touch with them.
