http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/03/aaron-rodgers-i-havent-been-out-carousing/

The Steelers have been here in Dallas for three nights, and after two of those three nights, there were stories the next morning about players being out late, enjoying the nightlife.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says there will be no such stories about him.

I havent been out carousing, Rodgers said today. I am a homebody, so Ive been spending a lot of time in my hotel room watching film. I think it is important at the same time that you are sticking with your normal routine. I like to go out to dinner when Im back home in Green Bay so Ive gone out to dinner, to a couple of really nice spots, and then come home, relax and watch film.

On Monday night, Steelers receiver Hines Ward was reportedly out at a strip club. On Wednesday night, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was reportedly boozing at a piano bar.

Of course, these are the Super Bowl week stories that can be used to fit any narrative we in the media choose: If the Packers win on Sunday, well say its because they were studying while the Steelers were partying. But if the Steelers win on Sunday, well all talk about how they were loose and relaxed while the Packers were too tight.

Rodgers acknowledged that theres a risk of spending too much time watching film.

You definitely can over-prepare, but Im going to stay focused and keep doing the things that I have been doing the past few weeks to prepare, Rodgers said. Hopefully the rest of the team does the same.

What's he story here? Rodgers is sticking to his normal routine. Ben and Hines are sticking to theirs.

Status quo for the entire team I hope.. don't do anything other than what you normally do to prepare for the game.. because in the end.. it is just another game.

I like to hear a focused yet "normal" Rodgers three days prior to the game.

I completely expect him to be ready to roll and play at a high level come Sunday.. kid is all business from the sounds of it.

Couldn't be happier with this news. He is keeping his eye on the prize. And these Steelers players are underestimating the game.

Aggred, they are not confident about the game but due to there experience they are clearly underestimating the game.

Packers know that this is it and they want to give there best.

what peteralan said. I love the attitude of Rodgers, cranking away at the film, plus this deflects some of the negative attention of 'photo gate' away from the Packers and onto the party-hardy Steelers

I seriously doubt the Steelers are underestimating this game...I don't know how anyone can draw that conclusion just from seeing that a few of their players are at a bar.

From the interviews I've seen, the Packers almost seem 'happy to be there' where as the Steelers seem more focused. Then I think about the comments about the pillow where I'll tackle him and get confused on that perception.

The steelers especially big ben and hines ward have been here before and they have won 2 super bowls in 2 tries. they know what to do and they have fun before the game. their shouldn't be a story because they know what they are doing.
