So Nick Collins gets fined 50k for barely hitting Roy Williams, but Peppers only gets fined 10k for nearly decapitating Rodgers. That seems about right.

I have so many complaints about this fine:
1. $10,000? That's it? The NFL is trying to clamp down on hits like these yet when a perfect example shows up in the
MOST WATCHED CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN NFL HISTORY they give the guy a slap on the wrist? If you ask me this deserved a Seymour-style ejection. Peppers went straight for the helmet-to-helmet. It was blatant and wrong. It didn't even seem like he made an attempt to properly tackle Rodgers.
2. Why did it seem to take so long to get a penalty called? Does anyone remember last year when Matthews barely swiped the face mask of Matt Stafford and they called a roughing the passer penalty? If anything Lance Briggs should have been called in addition to Peppers because his hand came down on Rodgers' face mask.
3. Rodgers never seems to get these calls. If I remember correctly on Landry's (basically) game-winning INT in OT against the Redskins Rodgers was hit helmet-to-helmet and it wasn't called. How come every other QB seems to be protected more than Rodgers? I'm really not too big of an advocate for the new protection rules but if you're gonna call them you have to do so across the board. Fair and accurate. Sadly that doesn't seem to be the case.
