Vikings in North Dakota? Why? Do they hate themselves?

Coltonja - Thanks for the mention. :)
Yes, I want a ring badly. I've had a two year argument with a bunch of people that Aaron Rodgers is better than Peyton Manning. When Aaron gets a ring, there will be no doubt.

Rodgers has played in 3 Playoff games and has been phenomenal in all 3.

Vs the Cardinals - 28 42 423 4 1 (plus 1 rushing TD)
Vs the Eagles - 18 27 180 3 0
Vs the Falcons - 31 36 366 3 0 (plus 1 rushing TD)

That's pretty freaking amazing! :thumbright:

Now Manning's first 3 Playoff games.
1999 (one and done) - 19 42 227 0 0 (plus 1 rushing TD)
2000 (one and done) - 17 32 194 1 0
2002 (one and done) - 14 31 137 0 2

They love the Vikings until they inevitably fizzle, at which point they for some reason come to complain to ME. Makes sense... :S

Well said, Zero. I was also too young to get the full glory of the Packer '96 SB. But over the past couple of years this site has helped me become a diehard Packer fan. My appreciation in large part goes to Zero, of course, but also to the everyday posters. I love signing on and reading what this solid community has to say. Zombie, Ironman, Pack 93z, bozz, Finley (who never stopped believing), Greg C, evad, go.pack.go, warhawk, and Cheesey, I have to thank you guys in particular for your constant, intelligent posting. Heck nerdman thanks even to you for keeping us grounded because McCarthy always screws up :pottytrain2:

Thanks a lot to this entire posting community it has been an awesome ride, and I am blessed to be on it with such great fans. Now let's go get a ring!!!!

GO PACK GO!!!

Ha ha, I've always supported MM, but I do feel the need to call him out when he fucks up. From this, people keep accusing me of being an asshole. Farbeit from me to deny THAT.
Anyway, MM needs to do something about that weird thing they do, where they always have to self destruct a little before they dominate. Then I'll stfu about it.

nerdmann, dude, you blamed Greg Jennings fumble (nice play by the Falcons from behind) on Mike McCarthy. What do you expect?

Mike should have:
1. Felt the pressure from behind and been ready for the attempt.
2. Switched the ball to the other side.
3. Wrapped up and had two hands on the ball.
4. Held on after the hit.
5. Shouted from the sidelines, "Look Out!"

During the '96 season I was 16 years old and had a once in a lifetime sort of feeling the Packers would win it all. I was a fan, not like I am today, but I regretted not watching everything Packers that was available to me. Mike Holmgren show, MNF Kickoff, etc ... and also reading articles.

My advice to you, as Packers fans, soak this up, enjoy this, it might only be one more game, but what the Packers have done this season is truly special. Make no mistake about it, the Packers are the real Americas Team.

Here's a few off the top of my head ...

Watch the videos.
http://www.packers.com/media-center/videos/all-videos.html
http://www.nfl.com/videos/green-bay-packers

Read the articles.
http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/
http://packersnews.greenbaypressgazette.com/
http://www.espnmilwaukee.com/wilde/

In 12 hours, the Green Bay Packers will be one of only four remaining teams out of 32 that have the opportunity to win the NFL Championship. We are lucky as Packers fans, and I hope none of us take this granted and each of us enjoy this to its fullest. And anything I can do to help, do not hesitate to ask, because I won't make the mistake I did 14 years ago, again this year.

I ask this of anyone and everyone. I'll do my part in bringing articles here and hope you do the same.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress

Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : Well, not crazy, it makes sense. Crazy I didn't notice/find it earlier
Zero2Cool (7-Aug) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (7-Aug) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league
