We have only one Assistant Head Coach, per Packers.com
Winston Moss.

Chicago asked permission to interview Clements for their OC job and the Packers told them no. Of course, this was still before they went after Mike Martz.

Based on what I just read, you can deny coaches permission to interview if that coach is still under contract and not interviewing for the head-coaching job. Normally, team allow coaches to move up, but clearly Green Bay wanted know part of Clements going over to Chicago.

My guess is if the Browns or someone like that called, they would have no problem letting him move on and be an OC.

Well it looks like we keep Capers for at least another year fortunately. Each additional hire makes me smile. The second this season is done though, our ST coach must go ASAP.

Tom Clements is the name to watch. Chicago tried to hire him away from the Packers last season, but GB blocked the switch because I believe he is an assistant head coach. I could be mistaken, but he is the candidate that I think could be looked at elsewhere for teams wanting an OC.

Seattle fired their OC this week and are yet to fill the vacancy. Their GM is former Packer John Schneider who would know how good Clements is.

After Sunday, whether we win or lose, our coaches are free to be approached. The Seattle job could be one to watch.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kevin Green become the D-Coordinator for the Pack in 3-4 years. He played in the system and he is currently coaching in it. Although it seems he may be a better positional coach considering his temperment.

Jason LaCanfora on Mike Trgovac linked with Denver.

Fox would wait for the opportunity to talk to Green Bay defensive line coach Mike Trgovac for his opening. Trgovac was on his staff in Carolina for several years.

I want to keep Greene. I think he would be a heck of a ST coach. Getting the guys to go Kamikaze and all. Hit and make the tackle. Too bad he would know squat about how to punt the ball or kick a FG.

That would be bad news.

The way our young guys on the line are playing, the way that beefy line is carrying the team one week and being reduced to undersized rookies the next and still dominate the LoS... That's impressive. Trgovac is one heck of a coach.

Of course, he's one of those guys who's still aiming higher. A former DC who became a victim of "scapegoatism". He's one of the guys I really don't want to lose, but one I could see going.

AFAIK, we can "block" any team from trying to make a lateral move with our coaches. I beleive this means that the packers have the ability to refuse letting go of any coaches that are currently under contract unless it is for a Head Coaching position.

This still doesn't mean the Packers WILL block someone on their staff, but they have the option to. Correct me if I'm wrong.
