I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out what is so noteworthy about a player being willing to give up a pair of stinky cleats he didn't pay for and won't be wearing again. More than likely he would have simply tossed them in the garbage after the game anyway.

I think sometimes fans lose touch with just how tremendous the money is that these men are making. My household brings in less than $20,000 a year and we have everything we need and almost everything we could possibly want. I can't imagine what life would be like bringing in over $300,000 a year (the rookie minimum), much less the multiple millions per year a lot of the players earn. I don't think most fans have the capacity to do so either.

I don't make very much money, but if anyone on this board was in need of a pair of cleats, I'd buy it for them and probably wouldn't even blink. What's so special about a very rich man giving away a pair of cleats he didn't even buy?

He wore them during a game. He's awesome. Most players don't offer collector's items like this to fans. It's not the money that's the thing here, it's contact with the fans.

He wore them during the game, so they're special? That kind of thought process borders on fetishistic in my head.

Ever wanted an autograph? Some dude just writes on a paper and that's special?

And yeah, I think having a pair of cleats Bishop wore during a game would be great. It wouldn't change my life or anything but still.

No, I don't collect autographs either. For that matter, the only Packers memorabilia that I own is what other people have bought me. I don't even have an "authentic replica jersey," just some cheap knockoff that my wife bought me at the K-Mart outside Lambeau Field.

I don't cherish a pair of shoes just because my wife's feet have graced them, so I really don't get what's so special about a pair of shoes worn by a rich celebrity who doesn't know me and couldn't care less about me.

Mucky Tundra (7h) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (7h) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (7h) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (8h) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (8h) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (8h) : BALL DON'T LIE

Zero2Cool (11h) : Mayo was the guy they groomed for HC and one of the reasons they let Bill go.

Mucky Tundra (12h) : Well that didn't take long; Jerod Mayo out as Patriots HC
Zero2Cool (12h) : I would expect it to be higher in favor of Eagles
Mucky Tundra (12h) : Thst line seems...generous
Zero2Cool (13h) : Eagles -3.5 over Packers in Wildcard Round

Mucky Tundra (4-Jan) : Stinks for Lloyd. Hoping he comes back strong for next year
Zero2Cool (3-Jan) : Packers placed Marshawn Lloyd on reserve non-football illness list
Zero2Cool (3-Jan) : Luke Getsy been helping Packers defense. He's former OC Bears/Raiders and our old QB coach

dfosterf (2-Jan) : There was quite a bit of "chalk" matchups this year it seemed, but not this week coming up
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : Or we got better and by we I mean everyone except me
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : We have about six that by percent would have won nearly any season. I guess 2024 was predictable 🤷
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : You can check previous seasons. I quick did it and don't think anyone hit 70% before
dfosterf (2-Jan) : Hats off to the Beast
dfosterf (2-Jan) : I'm at 71.76% in pick 'em. 2nd place. Beast is at a flat 75% 9 games ahead. That 75% has got to be unprecedented this late in the season
beast (2-Jan) : I don't care deeply, just want some good entertaining games
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : BTW, not serious.
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : You don't care about it either!!!!
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : NIL and Portal killed college, no one cares about it.
Mucky Tundra (2-Jan) : outside of Texas-Arizona St, it's been a snoozefest
beast (2-Jan) : I expect Georgia will change that tomorrow, but we'll have to wait and see. If they do, then only Big 10 and SEC are left.
