In the first game, the Falcons were able to control the ball via the run and utilize an almost perfect passing game from Matt Ryan. Ryan made more or less no mistakes in the game and they utilized their offensive gameplan to near perfection.

They did all that, and won by three points. Of couse, Rodgers had a great game himself in the air and on the ground, but the Pack are obviously a better overall running team heading into this week than they were back in late November.

Ryan made mistakes in the Saints game a few weeks ago and they weren't able to finish off team with a semi-two dimensional offense and a defense that seemingly confused Ryan. He completed just over 50% of his passes and the Saints were able to bottle up Turner.

It's no easy task to contain Turner while not letting Gonzalez or White beat you. White will make his catches but should be contained but Gonzalez and Turner are the likely biggest threats for big games.

My take on advantages:
QB: Packers
RB: Falcons
OL: Packers
DL: Falcons
LB: Packers
DB: Packers
ST: Falcons
Coaching: Even, though I'll take Capers over any other coordinator in the game.

I actually feel really good about this week, I think Rodgers will have a big game because he feels like he cost us the last time we played. He will be a man on a mission and our defense will stop the run.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I feel better about this game than the Philly game. Vick scared me. The only thing that truly scares me about Atlanta is playing on their field.

The thing that stood out to me against Atlanta last time was that they play extremely solid fundamental football. They just kind of churn along in 3rd gear. We need to rattle them and stop the run on D, and make more big plays, which we are fully capable of doing.

I can't imagine our red zone offense struggling like it did last time. It was a series of unfortunate events that led to a 3 point last second loss.

Agreed, not fumbling on the goal line will also help.
Iirc, we had some injuries on the dline as well. But now we've got Jenkins back, we've got Green and Pickett. We've got some beef there to help stuff Turner. Other than our own mistakes, he was what killed us last time.
Add Starks to the equation, and the would could shoulda from earlier in the season should be redeemed.
I'd like to see Jones catch his sure TD this week. I would also NOT like to see an ugly 14 point swing against us, which there has seemed to be every f'n week.

I agree with all of that except DLine and Coaching. I think our DLine is better than theirs. Abraham is a beast, but the rest are just well-coached 'guys'. I give them the edge in coaching because they don't panic and they don't make stupid mistakes.

We'll still win, though.

We have heard time and time before that Rodgers has a long memory and bottles things in.. heck he still has something for his draft stock as reported earlier this season.

Personally.. I think Rodgers will use the loss this season and to a fellow ascending QB in Ryan.

Rodgers has a competitive nature about him.. and I would bet in a private moment he wants to beat Ryan and his perceived better record in close games, even though the QB is just another player on the roster.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
