The whole issue with MVP is that it is synonymous with visibility. It's all about piling up the stats, being in the spotlight and not really about what it stands for: most valuable player.
I'd agree with dhazer in a sense. But I'd still rank Rodgers in the top 10, because the scrutiny he's undergone relative to his experience is tremendous, and nobody in the league had bigger issues coming into the season than the fiasco Rodgers went through. His stats are also pretty decent.
I would also include Matt Ryan in the discussion because he's brought the "probably going 2-14, 32nd ranked at the start of the season" Atlanta Falcons into midfield, maybe even playoff contention. He's been tremendously valuable in righting the ship for the Falcons after the Vick thing, and he should be commended for it.
But remember folks, that list was made by a sports writer, it's not the official NFL list, so don't get too huffy and puffy.
