Yes, it's probable that the Packers offense would have adapted within a few games, but at what cost? It's quite possible they would have racked up another loss or two trying to force it to Finley before they started opening things up a bit.
Then again, having Finley down the stretch could have garnered this team an extra victory or two, too. It's hard to imagine they would have scored so few points against the Lions, Jets, or Bears with Finley in the lineup, and I have to think that there's a chance Finley could have pushed them over the top against the Patriots and Falcons.
