Yes, another poll, I like punishment.

If we keep AJ, it's with the understanding we will restructure his contract.

Part of this is likely a function of what's fresher in our memories, but Barnett certainly seems expendable with how Bishop has played. Also, I haven't followed Hawk and his pass coverage skills as closely as I 'should' have but I thought he played well against the run, was a good tackler, and was an all around solid player. I'm no GM, but I was content with his performance and the stability he provided with so much flux at the position due to injury.

Consequently I voted 'A'

Honestly I like Barnett better than hawk I want to see what the guy's got for another year.I wouldn't mind keeping all 4 Barnett,Bishop,Hawk and Chiller. But for all means I think there is a great chance Barnett could get released with how Hawk and Bishop are playing.Bishop is playing higher than the expectations were and he will start next year probably for sure.

I'm surprised nobody has brought it up (as far as I know), but Barnett and Hawk have been the two guys who have called the plays for the defense this year, if I'm not mistaken. I think this is a crucial aspect of their performance at ILB, and a reason we can't really let both of them go.

I'm a huge Barnett fan, but I think the defense has gelled with Hawk/Bishop at ILB. I honestly bet they restructure Hawk's deal - sign him long term - and keep everyone.

I think this will be interesting for the Packers in that while Barnett has been a good player for them he has now missed a large portion of the last two years. Hawk has not and he has played very solidly for them and you can count him to be out on the field every Sunday.

What would suck is if they chose Barnett over Hawk and then Barnett gets hurt yet again.

When they throw that "availability" card out there it's hard to pass on Hawk.

I feel like Barnett won't be here, but I would like it if he were. He's better in coverage than both Hawk and Bishop.

Hawk compliments Bishop better than Barnett. Actually, Hawk has had a fine season this year and that should play a role. I was going back and forth, but the point of availability is huge. That is the difference maker. I would probably stick with Hawk.
