When you remove the scrambles or runs from Rodgers.. the difference between the running games is more distinct.

Now.. I am not attempting to say those yards don't count overall.. but to look solely at the running game, running play effectiveness, I removed them to try and isolate true run calls.

Simply.. when we try to run it.. we fall below average.. and the overall run totals per game gloss over that because of the yards Rodgers picks up with his legs when passing plays break down.

The 49ers are screwed because they took Smith #1 overall.. have invested a ton of cap space and coin upon him and he has never panned out. That single draft move with the heavy burden upon the teams for those top draft slots put this team into a tailspin that they haven't pulled out of yet. Smith is simply erratic and inconsistent.. he makes Cutler look like a pillar of consistency. lol.

I can't believe Jacksona and Kuhn have 739 yards combined. It looks way worse than that from my lazy boy. Maybe I should start drinking more.

Most of the time that works for me.

Except that that's an average of 67.2 yards per game -- between TWO running backs. That's pretty atrocious.

Break it down like this.. and it becomes more believable.

514/11 = 46.72 Yards per game

225/11 = 20.45 Yards per Game

Then factor in 115 yards, 71 coming on a single carry at Washington for Jackson.. his next highest game is 68.. that adjusts his yard per game to under 40.

Hardly impressive... actually sort of pathetic.

Speaking of OL...I read a story somewhere about Tampa's best OL, guard Davin Joseph (currently on IR) not having a contract for next year.

Anyone know about this guy?

Worth going after in FA? (assuming we could convince Ted Thompson to go after a OL in FA....roflroflrofl)
