i went to green bay for training camp with my dad when I was about 14. the packer hall of fame was a lot of fun and they had kind of a mini-carnival type area attached to it called the packer experience that i had a lot of fun at, though i'm not sure if it's still there!

There is a type Packer camp experience for kids in one of turdra tents in LF parking lot. It is disassembled after training camp ends at the end of August.

Thanks. Hall of Fame is definitely on the list. Should we plan that as an all-day activity, or a couple of hours?

Any suggestions for where to go/what to do game day? Any particular tailgating spot/group/activity?

I know it will be cold, so we'll be bundled up, but any suggestions for what to bring/not bring to the game?

Any places recommended as Packer must-experience restaurants, etc?

We'll be flying into Appleton (it's MUCH cheaper than flying into GB itself), and potentiallyl staying down there.

I'm not going to tell my boy we're going to the game, I'll see how long it takes him to figure it out. Since we'll be getting on a plane to Appleton he might not make the connection until we arrive. I'm pretty sure he'll figure it out by then, though.

Thanks again for the help. Getting pretty psyched...

OK Macbob......FIRST thing i'm gonna do is text MM and tell him to use the 5 WR set the entire game........LOL! (HAD to do that!!!)LOL!
Anyway.....make SURE you get a reservation for a hotel set SOON! They fill up FAST. I don't even know if one near the stadium will be available now.

I stayed at the "Road Star Inn" which is right across the street from lambeau Field. It was nice, as i could just walk across the street for the game.

Plan a whole day for the Packer Hall of Fame, and if they have it going on, the stadium tour. It's all right in the Lambeau Field atrium, so you don't have to go anywhere else. "Curley's Pub" is there too, and a nice place to eat. Plus the "Pro Shop" is there, and you can get some souvineers.
Have a GREAT time, my friend!!!
I KNOW you will love it!!!
And congrats on getting to see Lambeau Field with your son! That will make it EXTRA special for you!!!

You have to take him to Brett Favre Steakhouse. There is alot of Packers history in pictures.
Also there is alot of great tailgating opportunities to enjoy in that area.
The walk from the steakhouse to the stadium is a trip in itself if you are into people watching.
Have a camera with you!
I got to meet Cheesey inside Lambeau which was worth the price of my ticket.

Packers Hall of Fame, wander thru the proshop. Definitely eat at Curly's Pub upstairs in the Atrium, that place is awesome. Theres a real nice packer apparell shop right by the stadium as well (probably better off buying him a jersey there than in the proshop). Spending a night in a hotel in Green Bay is gong to be expensive as hell, i'd recommend down the road in appleton.

Gotta hit Kroll's West.. get you one of the butter burgers.. lol.

Might want to hit the casino by the airport.. let the youngin' hit the slot machines.

I would definitely stay outside of Green Bay.. cheaper and more alternatives.

Earlier in the year.. the drive up to Door County is scenic... not so much in the winter.. other than to look at the small villages of ice shanty's on the lake. 😉

Thanks, Cheesy! I'M going to text him to force-feed SF with a steady diet of run right, behind Bulaga/Sitton/Wells rather than left, behind Clifton!

(Actually, I wouldn't want to be the OC for this game, with SF's defense). Appreciate the recommendations!

Yeah, BF Steakhouse would be a must given his attitude on Favre. I still can't get over watching the Minn game with him and him saying "Take that, Favre!" when he was sacked. I looked over at him, sitting there in a Favre jersey, and he just shrugged...
