Until I heard Nightwish, I thought Metallica *defined* metal. Well, Metallica and Black Sabbath. Terrible, huh?

Nightwish is the first band I heard that actually pulled off Symphonic Metal. I've always wanted it to be done but every previous attempt was cheesy. Or worse.

Pack93z - I got to see the chick from 4NonBlondes when she went solo. She's a heck of a performer. Very charismatic. And very "worn." Life wasn't easy on her.

The turning chairs are put in so that the judges can't go by looks. It was an idea from the small guy in the video. He only wanted to judge in a show that he could actually win based on his voice, and not on his looks.

I must admit that I only saw the show once, but that guy is like a Susan Boyle-mini when it comes to popularity over here.
