It was said earlier in this thread but I can't over-emphasize the difference in classiness between this move and the leaving of another longtime Packer legend.

I don't know how the balloting for the Packer HOF will be affected but I would put Al Harris in 10 times before I would put in Brent. Both were excellent players for us, so this is completely my subjective fan viewpoint.

I will continue to wear my Al Harris jersey w/pride while the #4 collects dust in my closet.

Undoubtedly, he'll go into the Packer Hall of Fame. One of the greatest plays in Lambeau history was his OT INT return for a touchdown to beat Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs.

i sent him an email and thanked him (for among other things) the memories from that Seattle game. I remember exactly where I was, who I was with, and how elated we all were when that happened. Easily one of the best packer plays of the decade!

Pretty good for him to put this out, especially after he felt like he was dealt a shitty hand when he was cut from the team. He's the kind of guy that has defined the Packers as an outstanding organization. He'll be missed, and hopefully he has passed on his characteristics to others in Green Bay.

Would expect nothing less from Al. He played his ass off in GreenBay.

Shame that money gets in the way when it comes to a player like Al.

He vowed from day one last year after his injury he would be back, showed anyone who wanted to watch what he was going through to keep his word.

Al was ready, but Ted Thompson and company decided they could go foward without him. One move I personally will never except.

I will never understand how Spencer Havner is more valuable than Al Harris, at this point, in this year.

Al came with class, played with class, and left with class. Good luck to him in Miami.
