Yes. As someone who lived in both San Francisco and Seattle, this is very true. We've discussed this many times, and what's really unfortunate is I've met some really cute LUGs who let themselves go then after dropping the LUG label, got cute again. Go figure.

By the way, I've been trying to convince someone (you may remember who I'm referring to) not to become a LUG. I saw her this weekend and she cut her hair short and boyish. She's still cute but can be so much better if she knocked off the LUG crap.

Actually someone like NSD is what she needs. She's always attracted the needy/weak types and given that she's a very private person, she brings out the worst in them as they feel she goes cold on them. Then they go psycho. Thus the attraction to LUG in the first place.
