I was texting some friends the same thing. I honestly don't know the answer, but it certainly seems plausible from the reports of Wilf's disgust last night.

I was surprised to wake up and not see Chilly has been fired yet. I was thinking yesterday we find out he's fired today.

I don't think Childress will be canned in the middle of the season. Doesn't make sense to make that move. But, that begs to ask, how much sense does it make to keep him?

Do we realistically think that both Chilly staying and Favre playing are both going to happen? Personally, I'd love to see Chilly stay, Favre get benched, and a further meltdown of the Queens!

i dunno - this has been an odd season. coach firings, qb's basically telling their coaches to go f themselves, top teams having difficulties, so who knows what the hell's in store for the rest of it.

I don't think it makes any sense to wait to fire Chilly. Give Frazier the interim job as a 7-week audition. And they should bench Brent now. It'd be awesome if that was Frazier's first official act.

You know what I think? I think Zygmunt "Triple word score" Wilf is purposely trying to tank the season. He's kept an awful coach, gave a 20% raise to a has-been QB, squandered a 3rd round draft pick for a 4-week rental on a washed-up headcase of a receiver, and generally mortgaged his team's future in a supposed "effort to win". I think he's actively undermining the team to facilitate the move to LA.

Or am I thinking of Major League...?
