NFL.com transactions page typo likely will flood the league office with waiver requests

So earlier today the Bengals cut several players. One of them was cornerback DeAngelo Willingham.
And at some point in the transfer of information from Cincinnati to New York City to the folks who run NFL.com, Bengals cornerback DeAngelo Willingham became Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams.
Uh oh.
Its a harmless and understandable mistake (we say that in part because we make plenty of our own), which apparently came not from NFL.com but from STATS LLC. Still, as of this posting the official word on the NFL.com transactions page is Williams has been cut by the Panthers.
Look for 31 teams to make a waiver claim, just in case.
