Also in no particular order. I probably would have included Fight Club if it hadn't been listed already...

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the Jim Carrey version)
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Memento
The Bishop's Wife
Sin City

Hmm.

I can't list top 5 and some movies are already mentioned, so I'll go three of my favourite, slightly lesser known films.

Gattaca
The Shawshank Redemption (ok, so maybe this one's pretty well known)
LA Confidential

I didn't mean for this to be a topic that one movie cannot be mentioned twice. Quite the contrary. I would like to see what everybody's top 5 are, especially if they are the same as my own.

Shawshank is a fucking GREAT movie, by the way.

Why is it that I find it hard to put comedies in the list? Because maybe critics don't see them as the "greats" of all time? I did feel that Tommy Boy needed to be up there since I have seen it at least 30 times.

Honorable mentions include: Smokin Aces, Lucky Number Slevin, Seven, Avatar, Inglourious Basterds, The Dark Knight, The Shining, High Fidelity, and my own guilty pleasure, Just Friends.
Green Bay: Home of the Green & Gold. And the hunter orange. And the camouflage.

Yaaaaaaaaa that is one that I just cannot stomach. The movie wasn't quite as disturbing as the book. I got about 200 pages into the book (commendable) then put it down, and left it, after there was a page long description of the main character killing a homeless man and his dog. It was too much for me.

Addendum: For some reason I still see past Michael Vick's sins.........
