He's more dangerous than Driver and should be our future #2.

IMO a big game against the cowboys or #3 CB doesn't mean he's better than Driver who's better going against better CBs all year than him.

Jennings looked a heck lot better going against #2 CBs than when teams started covering him with the #1 CB.

But I've been waiting for Jones and/or Nelson to break out... I think they need to give them both chances to have break outs. And why not? Driver, Finley, Grant and Quarless down why not give jones and Nelson every chance to break out?

Also I love getting Jackson involved in the short passing game and I think it's needed. Other teams have been covering deep trying to clog up the WRs down field so need to get short passes going...

I'm just saying Jones has had bigger games then Driver (two 100 yard games for Jones, 0 for Driver) and seems like more of a deep ball/home run threat.

The idea is not to dump Driver. It's just shifting some of the emphasis on offense towards Jones, ie. we run 40 passing plays per game. Jennings is primary option on 15, Jones for 10, Driver for 8, TE/RBs /otherWRs for what left.

Watch the Packers rotate and mix/match the receivers each week.. I think they really don't have a 2,3,4 on the depth chart.

Not traditionally speaking anyway.

As much as I love Driver, it's his last year as a Packer. Or at least his last year in the top 2 WRs positions. Driver has lost a step.

As much as everyone here loves Jordy Nelson, I have yet to see him get any separation whatsoever on a route deeper than 20 yards. Heck, my Grandma could run step by step with him. I like the guy, don't get me wrong. But unless the pass is spot perfect, it's going to be risky to throw to Jordy in any route past 20 yards.

We all know and love Gregorious so no need to comment.

Jones has concentration issues. This is a mental issue and it needs to be addressed. If he can get past this, he's a dang good WR.

I love Driver, but you have to go with what's best for the team. Elevate Jones to #2, have Driver be our #3 when he gets back.

And the people who have Jones on their fantasy teams will be rewarded.

All receivers drop passes. Jones drops more than most, but not enough to negate his good plays. And as receivers mature, they generally drop fewer and fewer passes.

As evad and others said, he had one really high throw by Rodgers in the 1st quarter that was a great 3rd down conversion, and like you said Greg, we can't expect every WR to catch every ball. However, he seems to drop more than most, and you comment on maturing, but as a 4th year player, how much more time does he need to mature?

I think it's clear that he has a ton of talent, he just losses focus a little too frequently.

Years in the NFL doesn't mean you've matured on the field. You have to be on the field to increase maturity on the field.

As for the drops, it's a lack of concentration. Worrying more about after the catch, or the eventual hit rather than securing the ball in your grasp then balling.

I understand that, zero...but he's had ample opportunities, especially considering the number of 3-5 wr sets we've run. Furthermore, look at Finley...he didn't need a lot of time on the field, he just consistently displayed his talent in practice, then validated it with the opportunities given to him when on the field.

I've been a huge fan of Jones because I see his upside, so don't mistake my message...just saying he's got the tools, he's just streaky.

The way I see it, there is no benchmark for when a player matures. Sometimes it gradually happens over the course of an entire career. And in most ways, Jones was already a pretty mature player when he came into the league. It's just that his catching ability has lagged behind the rest of his game.

I think British may be on to something when he suggests that Jones may be a rhythm player. If he is more involved in the offense from week to week his hands may improve. He actually has tremendous hands--it's all about concentration.

Jones has more 100 yard games than Jennings as well... Jennings is still better.

And Driver almost always is going up against a better CB. So Jones being close to Driver should be beating his guy more.

Why did the Jets have their #3 CB on Jennings last week? ... When Jennings was in the slot.

Also Nelson has more starts than Jones. Jones has zero catches against the Jets and Dolphins so the Cowboys may of thought Nelson was the #2.

And I'm not exaggerate shit...
