Afternoon people,

So, with us riding into the bye week with 3 wins on the trot, it got's me to thinking about the timing of the bye week, good or bad?

I think both, but leaning more towards the good.

Momentum is a funny thing, sometimes breaking a routine (week, week, TWO WEEK) can disrupt it, however

I do feel that we are assisted immensely by a round 10 bye week.

If we look at our roster, there are numerous players who have been carrying little niggly injuries

Rodgers - foot/concussion
Tauscher
Pickett - Ankle
Jenkins - Arm/Hand
Matthews - Hamstring

to name a few.

I believe an extra week off will be fantastic for these key players, and can only assist us in hopefully making a deep playoff/superbowl run.

I think too much is made of the timing of the bye week. The consensus is that a late bye is better than an early bye, but I don't think it matters much, if at all. Even after the first three games, most teams have several players with minor injuries who can benefit from a week of rest. That was definitely the case with the Packers this year. I don't think the bye matters much in terms of momentum either.

Gives the Green Bay Packers a chance to get as healthy as they will be for the rest of the season..
They are just hitting their stride for the stretch run so hopefully they won't lose their momentum as can happen at times, but it seems like MMs teams get tougher later in the season.

They'll have a week to heal up before the Queens. I like it. Queens will have two more weeks of drama during which to implode.

Vince - It's great timing. our team is hobbling. Aaron's hobbling. Driver's on the sideline. Pickett got dinged. Jenkins isn't 100%. CM3 was dinged earlier. Geez, I'm probably leaving off half a dozen people (or more).

We need a week to get our people back to 100%.

I just hope we don't come out of the bye like the jets.

Perfect timing for a bye. Heal up & get ready for the drama game upon return.

Then concentrate on trying to control home field destiny by stringing wins together during the holiday season.

I agree with the sentiment that a lot is made out of it, but as Zombie was saying, we are hobbling a little and need a good rest no?

I think a very important name missing from that list is Clifton. He has been lights out the last 3 weeks. Perfect timing to give his knees a little rest for the home stretch.
