Well, i finally did it.
I drove down to Chicago yesterday and auditioned for America's Got Talent.
Took about 3 hours to get there. Arrived at 8am, stood outside in line till 11:30am.
Got inside, stood in line till 1pm. Then sat in a holding room till about 3:30pm before i, and 5 others were whisked away into the audition room. We stood against the wall, they called us up one at a time, and we had 90 seconds to try to "wow" the two lady judges.
It was quite an expierience. I really felt i "nailed" it. I don't think i could have done any better then i did.
Now i have to wait until next March to find out if i make it to the next level or not.
There were THOUSANDS of people there. Fortunatly, the sun came out and it warmed up nicely, so waiting outside wasn't too bad.
Took me almost 4 hours to get home. I'm SO thankful i don't live in Chicago. Here it was a Saturday, and the traffic was insane.
Today (the 7th) is my wife's birthday. I had no money to get her a birthday present. So i'm hoping that i make it to the next round. I told her my performance was for her, that hopefully something good will come from my attempt.
