My Pro Favre stance aside here, it's because Favre knows he can run the O better than Childress can. If I remember correctly, Peyton Manning calls his own plays. Favre really should as well. I'm pretty sure the Vikings would be a better offensive team if Favre was running that O instead of Childress.

(Actually, that's not saying much. I don't respect Childress's playcalling).
