It always seems to take the Packers a few weeks to settle into the season. For that matter, most of the league has looked sloppy and inconsistent to this point. I don't know why anyone would want two fewer weeks of preseason coupled with two more weeks of regular season. All that will do is guarantee two more weeks of shitty football. Now we'll be waiting six weeks instead of four for the games to have any sense at all.

Tom Jackson et al were talking about the sloppy play, and in particular how many plays players are taking off (Moss in particular) this season. Another 2 weeks, and how much lethargy and apathy will we be seeing on the field?

I didn't think Sanchez played poorly...

Thank you. He wasn't lights out, but can we please credit our team without having to immediately shit on that credit by explaining it away with talk of how the other team wasn't good? Sanchez had thrown 2 picks all year and doubled that in yesterday's game. That's good D.

As far as elite status, I'm fine if the Packers are never considered elite at anything, as long as they win games. Today's 'elite' squad is tomorrow's 'disappointment' anymore, so I'll leave that stuff for media heads.

Toss up game at begininning of the year. Total unexpected win after all our injuries, playing there and them having had a bye week. Great game Pack!!!
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

Woody picked off 1 pass. Revis 0. Ha ha Ryan.

By the way Ryan, you're ugly and your Momma dresses you funny.

Can't believe I didn't think about that until you mentioned it. +1

It'd be difficult to definitively quantify who performed better between the two of them because as you say finland, ints don't tell the whole story.

But with all the hoopla Rexy was creating last year, it DOES feel good for Woody to get a pick AND a win!

Is Asomugha a better coverage CB than anyone? Quite possibly. Is he a better CB than Woodson? NO.

Woodson is the most complete CB in the game today. Period. He's a playmaker with the ball in his hands and he's arguably the best tackler on the Packers.

Asomugha doesn't stop the run half as well as Woodson does. When a RB comes full force at Woodson, Woodson tackles him cleanly. Very few CBs even come close to tackling like Woodson does.

I think as Packers fans, we take Woodson's tackling ability for granted. We see his coverage and applaud him for that but we forget he's also the cleanest tackler on the team.

But with all the hoopla Rexy was creating last year, it DOES feel good for Woody to get a pick AND a win!

Exactly. You don't see MM talking up our players a tenth as much as Ryan talks up his players.
