lol! i know it's fun in a way to poke fun at him but in all honesty, i find myself completely conflicted. i long for the days of the old brett - before all of the BS came to light, before i realized that he's a fallible person, before the texts, before the trade, before all of it! i find it extremely sad watching him play. i think some people talked about what an exciting game it was & how much they enjoyed watching him last night but not me. i find it all very sad. at the same time, a little part of me enjoyed the hell outta the game, listening to my viking fan hubby say "time to choke again favre" 3 seconds before he threw INT #2, & even the boo's that rained down on him during the game. but just a small part. it's a sad way for him to finish his career.

Agreed. I found no pleasure in the fans booing the old man after the game as he hobbled off the field. I wasn't home for the start of the game but I wouldn't have minded it so much. They were just trying to mess with him then.

According to Tom Pelissero's twitter. Not getting surgery and currently wearing a walking boot. The streak finally ends?

Boy that is a tough one.
I think if it were up to him he would [strike] play[/strike] start the game. I think he is truly in love with his records :angel11: THE STREAK :angel11: being the top one.
If the team was 5-1 Childress would be more inclined to let him start the game but they are in a desperate need for a win.
My vote is they bench him. He comes back in a few weeks and is not effect the rest of the year. With the streak gone there is no desire on his part to return next year.

not really "fractures" per a Dr to Peter King...All or most q/b can play with those injuries, just need an injection and need high pain tolerance

So Brett will play

It makes no sense.

1. What Dr who has diagnosed the injury would be speaking to a reporter without the patient's permission?
2. What Dr would be talking to a reporter about an injury without seeing the the patient/xray film and so on? He can't make an assumption without any of the facts.

Yeah, but since he can't move, I guess we can start calling him Pinata. I thought it was sad watching Marino limp around for two years, committing a false start on every play.

Do you think Favre is even considering his old age and mobility?

After speaking with a top NFL team orthopedist, SI.com's Peter King doesn't believe Brett Favre's ankle injury will keep him out of this week's game.

We have to take the doctor's opinion with a grain of salt as he hasn't examined Favre, but he called the diagnosis of two ankle fractures "extremely misleading." It's essentially a "glorified ankle sprain," and most NFL quarterbacks would play with the injury in a must-win playoff scenario.

King believes Favre can play Sunday if he's willing to play "medicated and/or with pain." Favre is sure to push to play. We'll have to wait to find out if coach Brad Childress wants to wage a power struggle.

Might have been reason for the one comment?

We will play it safe? or use caution?

Brad Jones, the man that shot Ole Yellar. I hope all the Favrebillies don't lynch the guy.

How about.....let Favre take the 1st snap of all the remaining games, then sit him.
The streak stays alive, he won't throw anymore INT's, and "Ol' Yeller" (from Dakota) gets his streak up to 300 games.

I didn't doubt your read this LT. I just wonder how a Dr could comment without seeing the the patient or the file.
