Just downloaded and installed VLC 1.1.4, re-downloaded the game video. VLC won't play them (and actually doesn't automatically recognize f4v as a video extension). I just cleared FF's cache and browsing/download history for the last 24 hours just for the hell of it, and I'm re-downloading now. It's a bit slower this time, ETC of 10 minutes.

EDIT: Download completed, same issue. Not sure what else to do here, has anybody else been able to download and play the full game files?

I'm not saying you're calling me one, but I'm by no means a computer idiot. I am unable to open either of the f4v files with any of the following programs (This is on my Win7 Home Premium 64 bit desktop):

Xilsoft Media Converter (Supports F4V)
VLC Media Player 1.1.4 (most recent version)
Adobe Media Player/AIR (All updated today, supports F4V)
Media Player Classic (Installed today, supports F4V)
MPlayer with optional codecs (Installed today, supports F4V)

I have no internet security software apart from windows firewall (which really doesn't qualify) enabled.

On my Windows XP Professional (32-bit) laptop, I installed VLC 1.1.4, downloaded part 1 of the game directly to the laptop in case if something on my desktop was corrupting the file. As with my desktop, I can open the file either through explorer (f4v is not under audio, video, or other filetype associations during install) and specifying that it should be opened with VLC media player, or directly through VLC media player. However, upon pressing play the path of the video displays momentarily as well as the duration (1:42:32), but immediately stops. Video and audio never play. I've installed VLC both with and without the "allow fetching media information from internet" option enabled.

I'm guessing nobody else is experiencing this since nobody else mentioned anything so I guess I'm stuck, but if you or anyone else have other ideas I'd be open to suggestions. As I'm unable to open the files with multiple programs that are supposed to handle f4v files, I'm guessing that the problem lies with the file itself, and either it's not being extracted correctly (used both 7zip and windows explorer's built in archive handler) or something's getting corrupted somewhere else.

I have not downloaded yet. My office computer has not sound so why bother. Have not had time at home to try.
Since I will have to download a player I am watching for comments from others myself.

I absolutely love you, zero. Dumb question real quick, what plugin is required to view this from the browser? FF can't seem to figure out on its own. WMVs work fine for now, though.

EDIT: After the download completed, I noticed these were in F4V format (F4V... F4VRE...!). I can covert them on my own no problem (since no media player I currently have supports it), but the other game file I downloaded this year (Packers/Bills) was WMV. Was this a mistake or on purpose?

EDIT 2: Or I could just update Flash.

EDIT 3: Or that might not work either. Screw it, I'm downloading a new media player for now.

EDIT 4: And it won't play in Adobe Media Player either, perhaps the files are corrupted? Halp!

You are not alone. I cannot get the files to play on mine either. Do you happen to be on a Mac? Because I am, but VLC should be able to play the files regardless of OS.

Negatory. Tried both Win7 Home Premium 64bit and XP Pro.

If anybody DOES get that to work, please let me know.

I tried to play the files, failed. I downloaded the first half and it's not working with VLC on either of my main machines.

I'll have to try a different format. I'll run some tests this Sunday and go from there.

Sorry. I feel like an idiot now for all the shit I've been given ya all bout downloading them and watching them.

I'm gonna see if I can get them as FLV instead.

Hmm... VLC under Ubuntu (Linux) doesn't play the F4V files either, but I was able to get them to play using ffplay from the command line. I have no idea what the Windows/Mac equivalent of that would be, though.

beast (2h) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (7h) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (7h) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8h) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8h) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
