The Green Bay Packers have signed DT Jay Ross to the practice squad and released RB James Johnson from the practice squad. The transactions were announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Ross, a 6-foot-3, 302-pound rookie, signed with New Orleans in May as a non-drafted free agent and was with the Saints during the preseason before being released in the final roster cutdown. He was a three-year starter at East Carolina and earned honorable mention All-Conference USA honors three times. Ross will wear No. 68.

Yeah I doubt that Ted Thompson wants to pay Haynesworth the money he is getting. Ted Thompson wants to keep Packers under the radar because he doesn't want the team to get the attention. This guy is a DOUCHE, I hate that idiot.

Haynesworth doesn't want to play in Washington what makes you think he will contribute in Green Bay. I doubt he'd want to be in a 3-4 defensive team.

I would push for Ted to bring back jamal reynolds and joe johnson before I'd advocate for haynesworth to be added to the team.

My 82 year old father gets excited about these practice squad moves and why they aren't published in newspapers(he will never use a computer).
I can't convince him to relax over these roster mooves.

Ted signs and dumps a lot of players on the practice squad. He treats the practice squad as a scouting laboratory, only 2 or 3 players will stay on it for the majority of the season developing their skills.

I bet there are at least 10 more practice squad moves before the end of the season and they are all insignificant.

Alright srry for posting this if no one cares,insignificant?They could all have potential and could have a spot on the team this year and next.
