You're too kind NSD.
I do not think I have been as pissed off this season as I am right now. I love Aaron Rodgers, and for the life of me could not understand why he was regressing as bad as he was in his fundamentals. I mean he attends the QB school, from all appearances QB fundamentals are stressed in TC and worked on in practices throughout the season. Cal and you both made this observation some time ago and I had to look back and see how bad it was.
Well, surprisingly, the middle of the field is practically clear, the guys with first crack at making a possible play (LBs) have their backs turned, and there is literally a 5-6 yard zone from the LOS where there is no defender present. It makes total sense for Aaron to try and extend plays while someone comes clean in the middle of the field, or for him to try and get into that area. I can understand now why so many of his throws are with his feet not set.
But my goodness, I cannot understand why we cannot get him some help. I was pretty critical after the game against the Dolphins for Aaron not getting rid of the ball on clear 3-step passes. Well, it's kinda impossible to get rid of it when the defensive scheme does not allow any receiver to get separation for the first 3-4 seconds.
I mean shit, I have supported McCarthy and Ted very passionately. But this is bullshit. You people are not blind. It's right there on the damn film that even a casual observer like me can see it! You're not asking Aaron Rodgers to play QB, your asking him to play savior. Your asking him to literally make something from nothing that is there.
And right now it is totally blowing my mind as to how such a thing could even be possible given Ted and Mike together surely have some sense between them. Unreal. Absolutely un-fricking-real.
