I don't think even if we had an elite running back that things would be much different. The one hope there is that McCarthy would trust him on a 3rd and short play to run the ball for a first down.

They just were making comments on us not getting Lynch and establishing no ground attack, thus allowing Rodgers taking a pounding STILL. Rumor that was stated is the Pack and Cowboys possibly looking at a trade for Barber before the deadline.

Ted Thompson will live and die by his draft. Yes, he has found some diamonds, but not many. He has found more injured draftees that barely contribute, so don't count us getting anyone outside the draft and the ship will slowly sink.

Packer98, your implication is downright moronic unless you somehow want to blame Ted for the career-ending injuries of Terrance Murphy and Jeremy Thompson.

This is for jackass #1, #2 and #3 in this thread.

Daftees or Signees hurt their first year with the Pack in some capacity.

Harrell
Starks
Morgan
Neal
P. Lee
Raji
Underwood
williams
Wynn
Matthews

I must say, you 3 knuckleheads are on the ball and know your team.

1. I said other than Harrell.
2. He's new to the team. Haven't seen enough of him to be able to say that.
3. I'm assuming you mean Burnett? He was a GREAT pick. You can't deny that. He was a perfect pick in that situation, we needed safety help and he would have been our starter the whole year.
4. Neal is very good when he's in. Good pick, especially on a defensive line that is really banged up (and we lost Jolly)
5. If I'm not mistaken, Pat Lee hasn't been injured at all this year.
6. Raji is one of the better NT's in this league. You're stupid for including him on this list.
7. Underwood is not injured, nor was he last year (his rookie year).
8. Who is Williams? Tramon? He's arguably playing better than Woodson this year.
9. Wynn. He is a late round draft pick (a project). Wasn't expected to contribute anyway. And he hasn't been injured.
10. Matthews? Really? You're getting desperate. Top 5 pass rusher in this league right now.

You don't know what you are talking about. All of those players (except maybe Harrell / Starks <--His first year, and he can still contribute) have contributed to this team.

It's like you expect Ted Thompson to know these players are going to get hurt.

So, Jackass, think before you speak (type, I guess).

Zero said it best. Are you implying that Ted Thompson drafts brittle players, and then citing that they missed some time as evidence? Ted's two major free agent signings in Ryan Pickett and Brandon Chillar have missed game action the past two years. Should we conclude that Ted only signs free agents that get hurt and miss games? No, because it is pretty stupid considering Ted has also signed players like Tramon Williams - yes, Tramon was a free agent signing and NOT a draft pick - who have not missed games. Get real, players get injured because they play a violent game, and especially rookie who are facing stronger, faster, and more experienced players on a more consistent basis in the NFL.

And for the record, you quote a post with posts by: yourself, go.pack.go, and I.

Then you claim your response is to: jackass #1, 2 and 3...

I really don't understand all the "the reason we're losing is not due to the RB". IMO, the RB position is so important that you can't just take basically a "wash". It's true B-Jack is not THAT bad but thats not to say Lynch could be better.

Also, the GB players you could tell weren't happy about the Lynch thing either. Look at Jennings on Rome is Burning, you can see the disappointment. I also think making trades like that gets your players beliving that you believe in them - there is no way to measure that but I bet you a lot of the GB players were like a lot us "why not get Lynch, it can't hurt?".

You know what Packer98, I will take you up on your offer for help in directing me to a website that lists the rookies that have been injured since 2006.

Please, just direct me to that website and I will take time out of my schedule to compile a list of injuries the Packers have had and compare them to other teams to see which team has had more rookies suffer injuries.

As a matter of fact, if you would like me to make a specific comparison between the Packers and another team, let me know and I will do it.

Again, I await your link to a website...

I don't think you can predict injuries. But is there another reason why so many injuries have happened to us? Working too hard in practice? Weak conditioning?

Or its just bad luck, who knows.

Working too hard ... no chance of that. Mike McCarthy is too soft on the guys I think. I've thought that for awhile now.
