I'm not mad, nor sad. I didn't think we'd win and don't think we will next week either. It's easier to handle a loss when it's expected. The earlier loss against the Bears, looking back, that one bothers me more than this one.

Who is Slocum's supervisor?

Surely you do not expect McCarthy to be advising Slocum of rule changes regarding Special Teams.

That penalty call is inexcusable, and if McCarthy wanted to fire Slocum as a result I'd be all for it.

But you cannot expect the coach to be spoon-feeding his coordinators on what rules impact them how.

I hold McCarthy liable for running this offense, making sure his coaches are doing their job, and holding his players accountable. The fact that one of his ST coaches did not convey a new rule to a player who practiced less than a handful of times cannot be blamed on McCarthy for failing to advise his coach of what is and is not allowed.

I'd be all for McCarthy holding one of his coaches liable, though.

I think I am a fan of McCarthy (considering we could have had Childress). The loss isn't on him (other than not calling more quick passing offensive plays). With this many key players out, we're lucky to even keep games close. Get used to watching our defenses more than you should have to.

I agree 100%. The past 7 days since Finley went down have been a big transition. I used to have high expectations, and now I just anticipate a loss while hoping for the best.

To some extent I fault Ted/Mike for the awful play at tackle, and for not having the depth or willingness to bring in a Lynch or other RB...but even then, is it worth upgrading from a 25hp motor on your musky boat to a 50hp when it already leaks? The Zombos, CJ Wilsons, Quarless, and Shields were meant to be special teams long term projects, not starters 1 year out of college!

The Dolphins are not that bad of a team. Give them credit instead of simply bashing the team you claim to root for.
