Why do they need a little pink ribbon on the ball which nobody can see?

All this pink bullshit is to try to get women interested in football. It's F'n stupid. Like guys who try to act all sensitive, because they think that's what a woman wants to hear. Excruciating.

I had the same question. My guess is that after using them they are going to raffle them off for charity.

Hard to believe that a little logo would affect a player's grip on the ball, but athletes who play at a high level can be very sensitive to such things. Remember the NBA players a few years ago when they switched to a synthetic ball.

I don't see anybody using this ball as an excuse. Rather, it is just a possible explanation for some turnovers. What I haven't heard is whether there has actually been an increase in turnovers since these balls were put into play. If not, then we have nothing to talk about.

The NFL does Alan Alda?

As if women were really that shallow.

Of course, we're talking about a business that thinks fans want to see 2 or 3 stooges in a "booth conversation" several times a game more than the game itself. Oh, those dastardly bullies beating on others when we could listen to The Dorks yammer on at the top of their lungs. Who wouldn't want to see more booth shots.

+1 to K-Buz and nerdmann.

Jeez guys, it's just a charity thing. Nothing to get so cynical about. The way you guys talk, you'd think it was all a big scheme for Roger Goodell to get some woman in the sack.

The way I'm reading this is that the problem isn't the logo, its the balls themselves are slippery.

But I still don't see why they need to alter the most important piece of equipment on the field.

I read an excellent suggestion that perhaps the drops can be attributed to the presence of SS Laron Landry, and the players being wary of getting hammered by him.

That, at least, is a much more plausible theory than footballs being too slick.

I don't remember any Packer saying the drops were related to the ball at all. I'm not sure where that implication is coming from.

Driver took ownership of his four. The other three drops I'm sure those players will admit it was a lack of focus, still.

One thing about going over the middle, you will get hit, regardless if you catch it or not. Players know that and you can tell too. Alligator arms!!! lol
