I hate to say this but I think one of the best teams in the NFC right now are the Detroit Lions. Go ahead and laugh, I still say they beat the Bears, They could have easily beaten us, the dominated the Rams yesterday They lost a heartbreaker to the Eagles and the only game they were really outplayed in was the Viking game. They could very easily be 4-1 right now. There QB is actually matching stats ( and he is the backup) with Rodgers and better than Cutler. The Lions seem to have the hunger, and we seem to be just going thru the motions.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Better than Cutler? So a 8-7 TD/INT ratio is better than 6-3?

And he is hardly matching Rodgers' play either.

Well lets just see

Rodgers 1233 yards 9 tds 6 ints

Hill 1218 yards 8 tds 7 ints

I don't see how you can't say he is matching the stats?

I know Rodgers is god and everything but can't get much closer than that, and to think we keep hearing how we have the best wrs out there.

Another side note: The Lions are averaging more points a game than the Packers. 25.2 pts a game for Detroit and 23.8 for the Packers.

Rodgers rush TD's shouldn't be ignored.

11 TDs and 6 INTs vs 8 TDs and 7 INTs. There's a noticeable difference. Not that I'm saying that Hill hasn't been decent this season.

And I also agree the Lions have a good team, but calling them the best team in the NFC is a bit too much. The Falcons have looked like the best team in the NFC so far.

The sky hasn't fallen.. and rome hasn't burnt to the ground yet.

There are a ton of reasons still to have confidence that the Packers will right the ship and make a playoff run.

But they have to start learning from the past and the present and apply it forward. Play to your strengths but don't completely disregard the other facets of the game.

But this team fought through a ton yesterday and in all reality should have won that game... they didn't but not because this team quit or didn't play til the end. When you have that much passion to win.. winning will come.

Heh. We might win it all this year because everyone else sucks too.

I can't remember the last time we got to week 5 and there were zero undefeated teams. That must have been years ago.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
