Brandon Jackson played a very good game today the best of the season.
115 yards rushing is a big improvement for the running game.
He looked very explosive today anyone notice he shot the hole very fast?
Showed better vision running the ball today.
I stood by what I said from week 2 by saying he would get better each week he started in the system. He showed improvement in the lions game and shown up today.

Ik we lost the game but Brandon Jackson has improved from week 1.

Yeah it's like when we lost Kampman, but Jones stepped up and got it done. Bjack is probably better than Grant, when he's hitting the whole and being decisive.

I'd like to see Jackson get 15+ carries in a game... around 4 a quarter at least ... what im sayin is evenly spread out, not just 8 carries in the last drive to give him 15 or so. Let him and the OL get into a groove.

Ya I agree thats what I'd like to see to we need to get more balanced even thoe we are a pass first team.

Totaled 31% of the offenseive yards, when combining his 25 receiving.

And yes, even with those numbers, he was still underutilized. After a quick start, McCarthy managed to call something like 22 passes to 5 rushes and one of those being called by Rodgers at the line. And Jackson managed this mostly from shotgun draws.

2nd half wasn't any better.

What I see, is that the one thing McCarthy has done is adjust the run blocking. We are no longer runing the zone stretches, and seem to be calling run plays that have more designed holes, which I think is better for Jackson. Zero hole, 2 hole ,4 hole or whatever. He knows where to go.

His only bad runs in the last two weeks were either attempts outside of Clifton or Hall getting stood up in the hole on the lead block.

If McCarthy would have given Jackson 5-10 more rushes/receptions we win the game.

Eeeehhhhhhh idk if I'd go that far just yet. It's kind of like when a doctor diagnoses somebody with hypertension, they need to see it under controlled conditions on 2 (if not more) occasions. I'd like to see Jackson do this a few more times before I'd go as far as saying that I'm real happy with him, much less say, "Hey, he's PROBABLY better than Grant!!!" Just doesn't seem right to me.

Jackson is slower and doesn't run the zone stretch plays well.

Today they didn't run zone stretch and gave him designed holes he is much better. Jackson is harder to tackle, can cut better, and can catch. He just needs to be utilized correctly.
