One person implied Ted couldnt/didnt/wouldnt offer a 4th and i went off because we hear it EVERYTIME player X wasnt picked up by us ..

Then as weeks go by truth comes out as to why..

I am tired of that mentality that POSTERS on a forum (not just here) know what goes on behind the doors..

I'm assuming you are referring to my implying since you quoted me in the chat...turns out my implying was right though.

Right how? I didnt hear anything on what the Pack offered or not offered

It could been ANYONE that said that quote..My reaction would been the same..That I am tired of the bashing w/o knowing all the facts

Those griping about it I think are just looking for reason to bitch about something ... as I alluded to earlier.

Your opinion... don't look at all the facts and disagree or hold the wee bit of criticism on the non deal.. or your a whiner or bitcher.. your the only one looking at the deal with a "broad" scope and has enough brain power to make a conclusion on their own.

Damn sometimes you are condescending as hell..

I think people are pouring emotions from the Bears loss and the poor Lions game into this as another "loss" which is not necessary.

1st page of thread. ;)

...and here come the pitchforks and torches.

"pack93z" wrote:

To be fair.. what do you expect? Ted isn't going to explain why he didn't get the deal done.. so people are going to assume:

A) He doesn't think we need an upgrade.

B) Thought the deal was too rich..

C) Got beat upon the trade table.. and some will compare it to Moss.

D) That he though the risk was too great for a player that is one strike away from a year long suspension.. he already had a 3 game rip for personal conduct.

E) Etc...

But because Ted isn't a fan base friendly GM.. we will not know why we didn't obtain Lynch.. just it will be left open to fester.. much like 07 and 08 again..

Gee. What's the world coming to?

Kevin and Shawn engaged in sniping/grumbling/finger-pointing. Methinks both have been having a week of Mondays for some reason not wholly related to PH.

You know we all love you both, so kiss nicely, please. Or steal some of Foster's Percocet or something.

Or remember "Wade's Rule #21: Everyone's an asshole from time to time. Even me."

Let's stop acting as if a 4th and 6th is a lot to give up. That is it a fairly easy going deal for a 24-year old RB with a pair of 1,000 yard seasons already under his belt.

Not to mention, he's been running behind the worse offensive line in football and their passing game is also non existent.

If I had to guess and it's just speculation, but Ted Thompson probably didn't want Lynch because of off the field concerns. They probably didn't see a fit there, so Ted Thompson passed.

Turns out I was wrong. Turns out that Thompson was pursuing Lynch and he failed to close out the deal. For whatever reason, he seems to struggle with completing deals.
