Well It looks like a done deal. Moss to the Vikings for a 2011 3rd round draft pick

shit

with our secondary problems this don't look good for us at all, especially when Rice comes back in week 8 or 9 😞
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

ok maybe i'm missing something but one...ONE receiver goes down on your team & now you can't possibly win? it's ALL on rice's injury? WOW. well i guess we'll see what mossy boy can do. should be interesting.

The only reason why this concerns me is that it virtually guarantees Dom Capers will turn into a limp-wristed pussy against the Vikings again this year.
Other teams will be pressuring the quarterback, daring him to complete his one or two long bombs a game, while our defense will be holding back tentatively in coverage or doing its best to stop Adrian Peterson, while Brett Favre dinks and dunks them into oblivion.

While other coaches are probably champing at the bit to face this newly configured passing attack, made more one-dimensional by Favre's substitution of Moss for Shiancoe, our coaches are probably shaking in their boots. It's irksome.

Just a 3rd?

Something is odd here....

The Pats--one of the most crafty teams only gets a 3rd? What do they know? or do they just not care

I don't see why people are calling this "just a 3rd." Remember, the Patriots acquired Moss for a 4th several years ago, so they're profiting off this deal. It's not everyday one sells a used car for more than one paid for it.

Whether we think it is going to help or not.. if these "talks" bear fruit in the terms of a deal, the Vikings have done something more than us about the holes on their roster. There is something said for swinging for the fences.. especially in their situation.. the window is closing for that group of players.. and they need to add firepower to their passing game.. this would do that.

Like it or not.. gotta give them credit for such a move.

+1. I really hope this blows up in their faces, but at least they're trying.

Were the circumstances not different? Was Moss not under producing at that point before the Pats acquired him? That is the reason most at the time defended us not making that move.. did he have it anymore.

There is little question if Moss still has it at this point.. he just is pissed he didn't get a deal and started pushing Billy buttons.. so they dumped him.

But a 3rd for a difference making WR... tell me the odds that you get a difference making WR in the third round next season.. those odds aren't high I would bet.

Um, really? You actually think that other coaches are eager to face an offense that would eventually have Moss, Rice, Harvin, Shanicoe and Peterson? With Berrian as a 4th WR. Or even Moss, Harvin and Berrian?

How do you figure? Coaches WERE probably champing at the bit to face the Vikings with no Rice but I really doubt they are excited or eager to face Randy Moss. I'm confused, I would think adding Moss to a team would cause match-up problems.

Imagine if you are the Jets and you are playing the Vikings next week. You were probably laughing at them with Berrian as a number one option, now suddenly you have to plan to stop Moss and Peterson at the same time. I pray this deal doesn't go throw, they would be deadly.

Not to mention how motivated Moss would be for the rest of the season if this trade goes through.

I don't like the Vikings, but you have admit they make it exciting for their fans with their moves. I like their not afraid to put their balls on a string and dangle them in front of everyone to swing at.

It sucks for this year, but its good for the couple years after wards.

A rejuvenated Brett, with a rejuvenated Randy ... and a stellar Adrian ... Yeah, I'm not liking October 24th so much anymore.
