The Bills may have taken the team's probable draft position next year. It would be safe to wager that the Seahawks will be in a higher draft position than the Packers, giving their pick greater value.

One thing you have to think about when it comes to Lynch is the final year of his contract will void after this season is over if he reaches playing time incentives.

So you trade a pick for Lynch and you then have to give him a new contract after 1 season. I doubt the locker room is going to be very happy seeing a new guy come in and get a deal right away. Then what do you do with Ryan Grant who may need to rework his deal or else has a new one coming after next season.

On top of it all Lynch is 1 mishap away from a lengthy suspension.

And we know Ted doesn't ever loan players. So if Lynch wasn't willing to make a deal for a couple years, then Ted easily walks away.

Randy Moss was worth that kind of draft picks. Marshawn Lynch. No friggin way.

Now Logan Mankins on the other hand.

One person implied Ted couldnt/didnt/wouldnt offer a 4th and i went off because we hear it EVERYTIME player X wasnt picked up by us ..

Then as weeks go by truth comes out as to why..

I am tired of that mentality that POSTERS on a forum (not just here) know what goes on behind the doors..

I'm assuming you are referring to my implying since you quoted me in the chat...turns out my implying was right though.

I'm not the kinda dude that gets mad when every player available doesn't get picked up by Green Bay, not my style. However, in this case...GB is in desperate need of a running back. Marshawn Lynch was the biggest running back name out there right now so it pissed me off that there was no movement in trying to grab Lynch.

Did I know there was no movement made by Ted Thompson? No, but history has shown he never does. This time it is different...it was a big name for a position that the Packers are in need of. So this pissed me off a little more than everyone else I guess. This is coming from someone who thought Brandon Jackson could possibly workout.

Don't forget that Lynch probably realizes that Grant comes back next year and is the guy. Better chance in Seattle for a career.

That's a good point. I didn't think of that.
But had Lynch come here and lit up the field, it may have been Grant looking for a new team next year.

I'm going to defens Ted Thompson on this one, We thought the trade was a done deal and they snuck behind our backs and got him on us.

Hell it happens alot so what is the difference and after all did anyone really expect Ted Thompson to pull a trigger on any trade?
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

The Bills may have taken the team's probable draft position next year, into account. It would be safe to wager that the Seahawks will be in a higher draft position than the Packers, giving their pick greater value.

"Chutzpah515" wrote:

Are you so sure about that? Seattle is going to probably win their division which could give them a lower pick than us.

I don't have that great feeling I did when the season started and people saying Super Bowl I think should step back and look at this team.

But then again Ted Thompson thought we had the trade done but Ted Thompson went to bed and when he woke up Seattle got in there and stole him from us.

I liked the one point about how their GM used to do the trade talks and get everything set up and Ted Thompson wouldn't pull the trigger.

I think there's a lot of over reaction on this. Go through this thread and read each point and understand no one mentions we're 3 - 1 with the current running backs we have now.

I'm not saying we'll keep up this pace, but we're far from being in desperation mode in my opinion.
