Defense? What the heck are you talking about?

I'm not sure who's defending whom, but I rather try to think of all scenarios instead of being one of those naive ignorant assholes who just blames Ted Thompson for everything that wasn't done their way on their time line.

Again, not defending the lack of a move or condoning the lack of move, simply throwing out other scenarios that I'm not seeing mentioned.

But sure, call it me defending it I guess, why not put words in to my mouth, that's not weak or anything.

LOL.. I am far from blaming Ted.. as I am sure, as I have said numerous times, a legitimate reasoning for passing on this deal.. and that we will never probably know that reason because Ted isn't one to inform the fans.. they to him are an inconvenient bother of the job.

We didn't get Lynch.. that is fine.. but it seemingly would have filled a void currently on this roster.

Justin Forsett, of the Seahawk's is a former Cal teammate of Lynch's.

Lynch is from Northern Oakland, CA ... Seattle is a little closer to that than Green Bay.

Northern Oakland? I live in San Francisco. Didn't know that city existed. I'll be damned.

(just kidding, amigo. I know it's a typo).

It's not a typo, that's what I read. It said he's from Northern Oakland and I threw in the , CA on my own accord because I for some reason thought maybe there was one person in the world that didn't know Oakland was in CA.

Ummm...Woodson is an educated, articulate, and fairly cultured man. Lynch, by EVERY account, is a bit of a thug, and a child of the streets. And let us not forget Woodson had only one choice, Lynch apparently had several. And, in spite of the fact it was a trade, I maintain that teams like Buffalo...and Green Bay for that matter...cannot afford the reputation of being unfriendly to players in treatment as it is already harder than many places to get FAs to think about...especially younger ones.

Damn.. did I say you were defending him.. but if that is what is used as the reasoning that comes out.. I personally am not buying it as a legitimate concern..

LTF is throwing fans under the bus.. Zero thinks I am out to get him... these emotional decisions of the Packers suck ass. lol.

You know... not going the distance to acquire Lynch could be a sign that Ted Thompson is confident in the people he has now. I know this is an unrealistic reach, but Ted could be so confident in what Starks may be able to do off of PUP that he took a pass on Lynch. (I don't ACTUALLY believe this)
Ted Thompson may also be holding on to see what happens with Williams in Carolina.

Personally I think the deal fell through because Ted Thompson was unwilling to part with one of his picks, yet again. However the old man always seems to have a plan in the back of his mind.

No joke here, I'm 100% idiot on the first part of your comment. Are you saying you've said it before or am I supposed to guess what the reasoning is? (admittedly so, I haven't read every post on the matter).

If I knew Lynch would stay healthy and out of trouble, I'd say we should have offered the same thing and sent his momma some flowers. (Lynch is a momma's boy)

Julius Jones will be available now. Maybe Ted has had his eyes on him all along....

Buffalo receives a 2011 4th round pick and a late conditional 2012 pick starting at 6th, could be a 5th.
