Why isn't this in the NFL news section? We gonna have one of these every time someone signs elsewhere?

Told you he could of been had for just draft picks. I suspected a 4th or a pick based on performance. Player for player deals are rare. That's why I figured all that A.J. Hawk for Lynch was nothing more than fan chatter.

Nevertheless, Seattle got themselves a solid deal IMO considering their division is wide open.

Seattle was working and wanted Lynch all summer. They definately were first in line so we would have had to deal a 3rd minimum. I'll hold the pick considereint Lynch isn't a guaranteed cure.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Ahh.. it is a trade.. Lynch has little to say about it..

And before defending Ted on that stance, he didn't want to be here.. this is the same Thompson that signed a Woodson that had little interest in GB either. So he has put millions on the line that a player can play for the Packers without at first liking the environment.

Not buying that as a defense.. that isn't saying I am throwing Ted under the bus for this.. but much like his tenure here.. we probably will not really know why. Even if we are that ones footing the bill in the end for this franchise.. someplace Ted has forgotten that the team exists because of this hungry plugged in fan base.. and he should be willing to explain hot button topics like this.

Ahh, no shit it's a trade.
Ahh players sometimes have a "no-trade" clause in their contract.
Ahh maybe the Bills said "we got the same offer from both teams, which do you prefer?"

Okay, I'm all "ahh'd' out now. šŸ™‚

I'm not sure who's defending whom, but I rather try to think of all scenarios instead of being one of those naive ignorant assholes who just blames Ted Thompson for everything that wasn't done their way on their time line.

Charles Woodson was a free agent. COMPLETELY different situations.
However, Ted Thompson felt he was worth the compensation. It turned out good, right?
So why not trust Ted Thompson now since he didn't overpay get Lynch in a Packers uniform?

The fact we don't have a number one running back doesn't sit well with me. I'm not too entirely upset we didn't get Lynch.

There's just too much we don't know to warrant getting upset over not landing Marshawn Lynch, in my opinion.

Dickheaded comment?... okay fine then.

Basically I am wrapping that up as a weak defense as we have already proven, with millions at stake to boot, that a player will meld into the Green Bay community ala Woodson.

It wasn't a personal... maybe it was worded poorly... I guess I own that.

Justin Forsett, of the Seahawk's is a former Cal teammate of Lynch's.

Lynch is from Northern Oakland, CA ... Seattle is a little closer to that than Green Bay.

Northern Oakland? I live in San Francisco. Didn't know that city existed. I'll be damned.

(just kidding, amigo. I know it's a typo).

Seattle is an eight hour drive if you drive like a maniac. 10 hours for normal people. It's not that safe of a drive as you go through mountains in Northern California and Southern Oregon. I'm assuming Lynch would fly. The flight is pretty quick.

Lynch may have said there's nothing to do in Green Bay, but he'll learn the hard way that Seattle's got hideous women. Who hate men, on top of that.

And Seattle's night life is a joke. Biggest city I've ever been in that had a dead downtown at midnight on the weekends. I've had much more fun in 50k people towns in Mexico.

Nice thing about Seattle though is it's close to Vancouver. Everything good Raider Pride says about Vancouver is NOT an exaggeration. It really is that nice.
