Maybe you are right. But injury issues are unpredictable. Let me clarify. Someone like Kris Jenkins (Cullen's brother) has a significant injury history. He is on IR right now, was last year, was in 2004 and 2006. Great player; obvious injury history. Thing is, he was dominant in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, and the parts that he played in 2009. My point? Injuries are unpredictable.

If all we get out of Bigby [sadly] is 3 or 4 games, that's 3 or 4 games with a legit starter who knows our system and is dependable.

We'll see. I'm a Bigby fan. He's a good player. Dude just can't seem to stay healthy. That doesn't mean he won't be healthy.

But there is a drastic difference between 1996 and 2010... most notably Ted's reluctance to bring in veterans mid season.. and that is not a slap at Ted. Just reality.. he has proven time and time again that he will go the young inexperienced route verses the experienced short term solution.

AADP mentioned yesterday that he didn't think a player could step into today and fill a starters spot.. yet we are willing to displace a player like Woodson, create a strain at another position (CB) and expect Woodson to pick up the slack?

Color me skeptical.. but I would rather promote someone to fill the safety spot or find an experienced veteran with years of experience under his belt verse displacing another positional player.. there will be a ripple effect.

If Harris was active.. maybe moving Woodson becomes more viable.. but you move Woodson now you have either Bush or Shields playing on the edge.... talk about placing a band aid in one spot and slitting open another wound.
